What's better than one Houdini project in development? Two! True to Hollywood form, just under two weeks after it was announced that DreamWorks had picked up the spec script from “Changeling” writer J. Michael Straczynski entitled “Voices From The Dead,” which focuses on the crime fighting duo of Harry Houdini and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (who were buds in real life), Summit has now started movement on their own film about the famed magician.

You may not know the name Wes Jones yet, but if his success continues, the screenwriter may become as well known as say, Allan Loeb ("Wall Street 2"), Aline Brosh McKenna ('The Devil Wears Prada"), Diablo Cody ("Juno"), or some of the other well-known now-established scribes who were scrappy up-and-comers a few years ago (super relative of course, not everyone knows these name compared to say Paddy Chayefsky, even then...we digress...).

There's nothing quite like momentum. You struggle for years, working miserable day jobs and writing desperately at night to no avail, but as soon as you land your first gig, you've suddenly got more offers than you know what to do with. Fast-rising screenwriter Noah Oppenheim didn't quite have the same experience as most scribes, parking cars and waiting tables -- he spent years working in TV, as a Senior Producer on both NBC's "Today" show, and "Hardball" on CNBC, as well as co-creating "Mad Money" with Jim Cramer, for which someone should probably give him a slap.
