It seems with each passing day, Louis Leterrier again raises the stakes on his high concept heist flick "Now You See Me." With a cast that already includes Mark Ruffalo, Jesse Eisenberg, Morgan Freeman, Isla Fisher, Melanie Laurent, Woody Harrelson and Dave Franco, it's now getting a dose of English class.

Even though they've had a quiet year, with "Source Code" and "50/50" being their biggest hits, Summit is merely laying low, with two larger efforts slotted for Christmas time releases: "The Darkest Hour," and some obscure vampire film about marriages and babies. It makes sense that the next step is for the studio to go from mini-major to major, and they're doing that in a big way today, announcing release dates for a few pretty large upcoming films.

Back in February, "The Incredible Hulk" and "Clash of the Titans" director Louis Leterrier came aboard Summit Entertainment's intriguing heist picture "Now You See Me." Written by Boaz Yakin and Edward Ricourt, and produced by "Star Trek" and "Transformers" writing/producing powerhouse team Robert Orci and Alex Kurtzman, the project has since assembled a star-studded ensemble which includes Mark Ruffalo, Jesse Eisenberg, Morgan Freeman, Isla Fisher, Melanie Laurent and Woody Harrelson.

While Woody Harrelson has earned acclaimed for his post-"Cheers" dramatic work, the actor still likes to have some fun. In fact, prior to the TIFF premiere of Oren Moverman's "Rampart," Harrelson did everything from the raunchy comedy "Friends With Benefits" to the disaster movie "2012" to low-fi superhero pic "Defendor." And while those films are certainly a mixed bag, his next turn could see the actor taking part in some high class genre fare.

Louis Leterrier has proved himself to be solid visualist, with a solid sense of action choreography but his films thus far haven't quite let him fully flex his directorial muscles. However, this latest, the magician heist thriller "Now You See Me" is not only boasting a pretty great premise, but has also attracted a solid cast thus far including Jesse Eisenberg, Melanie Laurent, Mark Ruffalo and Morgan Freeman, but a minor casting shakeup is underway.

Granted, we're not always fond of Morgan Freeman's career choices -- "Dolphin Tale"? narrating every commercial ever? -- but give the guy even a halfway decent script and he'll kill it every time. Which makes us even more excited that he's lining up a fantastic sounding project with a great array of talent to bounce against in the kind of role we don't see often enough from the actor.

It looks like magicians are coming back into fashion again. Back in 2007 Christopher Nolan and Neil Burger ("Limitless") had competing magician films in "The Prestige" and "The Illusionist" (though for our money Nolan's film is far and away the victor there) and more recently Darren Aronofsky signed on to direct the pilot for HBO's "Hobgoblin," about a group of magicians and con men fighting Hitler in WWII. Back in February we broke the news that there would be another film joining the ranks, this one a heist-thriller from "The Transporter" director Louis Leterrier. The film follows a crack FBI squad in a game of cat-and-mouse against a super-team of the world’s greatest illusionists, who pull off a series of daring bank heists during their performances and showers the profits on to their audiences.

We definitely have a soft spot for Louis Leterrier, as far as action-led helmers go. Undeniably talented, he's more than proved his action chops on the first two "Transporter" films, and pulled off a solid superhero flick on "The Incredible Hulk." Unfortunately, his last film, "Clash of the Titans," while a big hit, suffered from shoddy 3D and was probably a script that shouldn't have gone before cameras in the first place.
