Key And Peele Police Academy
There’s no doubt that Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele have established themselves as a formidable comedic duo, as exemplified by their hit show “Key & Peele” which Comedy Central renewed for a fourth season earlier this year. Their success has lead to the duo being offered a couple of different projects over the past few months: they’re currently developing a feature film with Judd Apatow at Universal and they’re slated to appear as FBI agents in the upcoming FX drama “Fargo.” Now New Line Cinema hopes to get a piece of the Key & Peele action as they’re currently in talks with the duo about producing a “Police Academy” reboot.

Man, this sounds bad. Perhaps hoping to ride off the buzz from Sony's “21 Jump Street,” New Line Cinema is moving forward with the “Police Academy” reboot everyone’s been waiting for. We were nervous nearly two years ago when the project bubbled up, but now the studio has some talent attached—namely, first-time feature helmer Scott Zabielski, producer and director of Daniel Tosh’s unfunny half-hour Comedy Central series “Tosh.0.”
