We're sure between the Spirit Awards and the Oscars, there is going to be some major partying this weekend in Hollywood, but no matter how crazy it gets, it likely won't be able to match the sheer insanity of whatever is being cooked up in "Project X."

While advanced word on the quality of the Todd Phillips-produced party flick “Project X” has been a bit quiet so far, after two enticing trailers and with a creative team that includes music video director Nima Nourizadeh and “Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World” screenwriter Michael Bacall co-writing this one, we’ve remained cautiously optimistic. Just as the film is set hit theaters next week, the promotion machine looks like it’s about to kick off in a major way.

Think the guys in "The Hangover" had it rough? That's nothing compared to what unfolds for the teens of the upcoming Todd Phillips produced, found footage style, R-rated comedy "Project X." And from the looks of it, it'll make Will Ferrell's streaking in "Old School" look positively quaint.

There's no rest for the wicked. After watching "The Hangover Part II" cross $580 million worldwide and become of the biggest hits of the summer, Todd Phillips got right back to work and while he's not directing this, it has his trademark stamp of shit going horribly, horribly awry all over it.

Looks like Warner Bros. have rejigged their 2012 calendars a bit with the Todd Phillips-masterminded "Project X" and Sylvester Stallone's teaming with Walter Hill for "Bullet To The Head" now due to unveil in the first quarter of 2012.
