In this day and age, it has become increasingly difficult to keep the details of movies under wraps. There are few filmmakers who can keep the secrets and surprises of a blockbuster tentpole under lock and key, and even, their best intentions can be foiled. Christopher Nolan saw key details of "Inception" hit the web almost a year before the movie came out, and this past summer a detailed synopsis hit the net regarding Ridley Scott's "Prometheus." Fox were quick to pour cold water on the stories that surfaced, stating they were "way off," but it appears that the Greek myth is more than just a coincidental title.

Taking a break from defending his show "Lost" from detractors on Twitter, along with writing some of the most talked-about upcoming studio projects, "Prometheus" scribe Damon Lindelof sat down with MTV to talk Ridley Scott's "Alien" prequel/sequel/spinoff and gave a few hints that may be a bit spoiler-filled for some. Careful, you've been warned.

Patrick Wilson has always been just on the cusp of great things, particularly after his fantastic breakout performance in "Little Children," but further acclaim has been just out of reach. Projects he has signed on to since -- ranging from the low key drama "Evening," the race baiter "Lakeview Terrance" and blockbuster fare like "The A-Team" and "Watchmen" -- just never quite made the grade, but coming off a massive hit this year with "Insidious" the actor has leapt straight into one of the most anticipated films of 2012.

Comic-Con wrapped up over a week ago so we're kind of surprised it's taken this long for this to happen, but some pretty grainy, lo-res but no less intriguing snaps from the "Prometheus" footage shown in San Diego have made it to the web, providing us our first look at Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace and Idris Elba in the film.

Cosplay outfits are headed to the dry cleaner and weary geeks are heading bleary eyed onto planes back to their homes around the world, and thus wraps another Comic-Con, but with the deluge of news and bits and pieces of info, stories from San Diego will continue over the next day or so. While the financial impact of studios bringing their wares to Comic-Con is still debatable, it's undeniable that these few days in California are quickest way to get at least some (fleeting) attention on new projects. And thus, we have two more peeks at some big projects on the horizon.

And Five More Things We Learned At Comic-Con Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus” has been shrouded in secrecy and confusing rhetoric almost since we first heard of the project. First it was an “Alien” prequel and then it wasn’t. Now it is again. But not really. Whatever. At least they are now discussing the project and promising some footage and/or trailers surfacing by fall. And they’re at least sure enough about it to start shedding at least a little light (which will most likely give us even more questions).

Damon Lindelof Admits The Title Might Be PretentiousThe puzzle of Ridley Scott's "Prometheus" is slowly, but surely beginning to take a hazy shape. Earlier today, we got our first official look at the film, and the surprises keep coming. The press conference brought out one of the film's stars, Charlize Theron and together with writer Damon Lindelof, they fielded questions about the upcoming "Alien" universe film and while we're still no closer to a full picture of what's to come, we did get a few more scraps.

No aliens, no real indication of who is actually in the space suit or even what the hell we're looking at, but that doesn't make the first look at Ridley Scott's guarded "Prometheus" any less exciting, and with a panel presentation coming up later on today at Comic-Con, more morsels of info are sure to be shared.
