Did Ridley Scott mislead the internet? Are fanboys making much ado about nothing? Are new reports and rumors of the film's plot even true? When Ridley Scott announced "Prometheus," his new film born out of the ashes of an "Alien" prequel, various outlets took his still somewhat vague and enigmatic comments as some sort of concrete statement.

Breaking. Michael Fassbender has joined Noomi Rapace as the second official star of Ridley Scott's "Prometheus." Fassbender's devastating turn in the 2008 drama "Hunger" still keeps paying dividends for the 34-year-old of German/Irish descent. With both films being big, expensive sci-fi projects we figured it was only a matter of time before "Prometheus" shifted and now it has.

Angelina Jolie & Charlize Theron Circling Supporting Roles, Picture Morphs From Prequel To Something "More Original"How's this for a MLK holiday weekend bit of news? Ridley Scott's "Alien" prequel is now titled "Prometheus." Noomi Rapace is starring. It's comes out March 9, 2012. Whoa. More than that, it's not even a prequel anymore and apparently it's transformed into something "more original."
