Last week, we took a look at the relative dearth of leading men in Hollywood: why Tom Cruise, Will Smith et al remain at the top of the tree, and why so few serious competitors have emerged since. But one of the most exciting things about our job is getting to watch the new names that emerge, breakouts who have the potential to join the A-listers, or at the very least, deliver a host of hugely exciting performances for decades to come.

Few companies have had as much success with the romantic comedy as British studio Working Title Films. While the company have had something of a banner year, thanks to the success of "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy," "Senna," "Johnny English Reborn" and "Contraband," they were built on the rom-com, and particularly those of Richard Curtis, including "Four Weddings And A Funeral," "Notting Hill" and "Bridget Jones' Diary." However, it's a few years since they've really tackled the genre -- 2008's "Definitely Maybe" is actually one of the better entries in recent years, but it never caught on at the box office.

Rafe Spall Joins The Cast Of Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus'

British up and comer Rafe Spall is the latest addition to the ever-growing cast of Ridley Scott's next film "Prometheus" which has been reported to be inspired/linked to the 1979 sci-fi classic "Alien" but isn't quite a prequel.
