So April Fools' Day is (thankfully) nearing an end and it looks like Bryan Singer and the folks behind "This Is The End" win the day. The former fooled Variety with a joke tweet about Lady Gaga playing Dazzler in "X-Men: Days Of Future Past," while the latter dropped a joke teaser for "Pineapple Express 2" masquerading as a quick teaser for the apocalypse comedy. Well, they've decided to finish the day with a brand new red band trailer, and yeah, this looks like it'll be something of a cameo filled blast.

2012 wasn't lacking in terrible films, but it seems for the folks at the annual Razzie Awards -- celebrating the very best of the worst -- it was time to honor one franchise for delivering consistently schlocky films to massive box office success.

You want to know how far the branches of the Judd Apatow tree go? Just look at the cast of "The End Of The World." Not only does it feature pretty much the regular Apatow players including Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Paul Rudd, Jay Baruchel and Jason Segel, it also features friends and celebs like Michael Cera, Aziz Ansari, Emma Watson and Rihanna. In short, anybody even vaguely related to Apatow's circle will probably pop up as the movie continues rolling, and speaking of which, the first set pics have landed.

Review: Waterlogged 'Battleship' Is A Cynical, Nonsensical & Boring Blockbuster

Expectations are a tricky thing with films. In an age where every teaser, trailer, teaser-for-a-trailer, poster and publicity still are pored over endlessly, many go into a film thinking they know what they'll think afterwards. This can lead to hopes being crushed, or sometimes, for a film that you'd previously dismissed turning out to be a pleasant surprise -- only last summer, we were dreading "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," only to discover that it was perhaps the best blockbuster of the season. Honestly, very little makes us happier than such a film: a picture that's been mis-marketed that turns out be an absolute treat, that is an entirely different beast to what you thought it was going to be.

Looks like "Fast & Furious 6" is getting fuel injected with some kick-ass estrosgen. With Gina Carano joining the pic last week and Rihanna being rumored to play the villain (while reps stay noticeably mum, though not denying anything), a familiar female face is returning to the gearhead series.

Seth Rogen has acted in, written and produced films, but by year's end he's hoping to add "director" to that list of accomplishments, lining up a co-helming gig with Evan Goldberg on the long-awaited feature-length adaptation of his and Jay Baruchel's viral short "Jay And Seth Vs. The Apocalypse." The film has evolved into a bit of an Apatow Mafia love-fest and it's pretty much expected now to feature a vast array of cameos, sticking with Baruchel's long-standing vision for the movie.

John Hillcoat just doesn't do uplifting. He has a pretty good handle on the heartbreaking and emotionally affecting, but raising your spirits just doesn't seem to be his bag (at least in his feature films; remember that Levi's ad?). While we wait patiently for Hillcoat's next feature "The Wettest County" (or are we calling it "Lawless" now?) to arrive in theatres, here's an ad he's directed for the U.K.'s National Lottery.

Oh yeah, "Battleship." We kind of forgot about this $200 million dollar board game adaptation (good lord), but it's just around the corner and the marketing campaign is going to start heading up soon for the film. A handful of outlets, including Movieline and The Hitlist were invited to the editing bay to chat with director Peter Berg about this upcoming film, and a few new images have come along for a ride as well. And yes, in case you forgot, this is the movie where Rihanna plays a Naval officer, but Berg reveals she brought the uh, "urban swagger" he was looking for in the movie.

Dwayne Johnson Tweets Early Look (Sort Of, Not Really) At His Role In 'G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation'So, the first trailer for the $200 million "Battleship" arrived last week and yes, it was awful. For a movie that is supposed to be about an alien invasion or something, it starts off with a shot of Brooklyn Decker's boobs and gets into some kind of bad boy/good girl romance tale before getting to Captain Liam Neeson telling his crew to fire all their weapons at the incoming creatures. But missing in all this was any real face time with Rihanna, the pop star who is making her movie debut in the blockbuster film.
