Last spring, it was announced that Brazilian bossa nova legend Sergio Mendes and pop music poison will.i.am were working on the score and songs respectively for the forthcoming animated film "Rio." And that was all we pretty much heard, but with the release date now around the corner, the full list of contributors has been revealed and while most of it is certainly stuff that would never appear on our iPod at least it's not a kids movie on a default musical setting of: Randy Newman.

Additional Superbowl Ads From 'Drive Angry 3D,' 'Rango,' 'Kung Fu Panda 2,' 'Rio,' Limitless,' 'Just Go With It' & Many, Many MoreApparently there's this thing called the Superbowl on TV. This writer doesn't even have the TV on, but gotta say, watching Twitter watch the Superbowl ads is pretty amusing. There will be spots from 2011 movies popping up during the show all night. Below are some of the latest that have aired, including, "Battle: Los Angeles," "Fast Five," and "Priest," plus other spots released earlier in the week. The best one so far of all these, is by far, Jonathan Liebesman's alien invasion picture starring Aaron Eckhart. Trailers below.

'Rio' and 'Water For Elephants' Also Shift While the original "Saw" isn't exactly a classic -- it's far too badly acted for that -- it's important to remember that in the light of the half-dozen increasingly awful sequels that it was, in its way, kind of an ingenious concept for a thriller, and director/writer duo James Wan and Leigh Whannell have followed it up with a pair of enjoyably grubby B-movies, "Dead Silence" and "Death Sentence," even if neither had anything like the impact of their debut.

Is This Why Pixar's 'Newt' Was Cancelled?Ever since his debut in 2002's "Roger Dodger," Jesse Eisenberg's career has gone from strength to strength. Following that film fairly swiftly with a brilliant performance in Noah Baumbach's "The Squid and the Whale," before having a banner year in 2009 with both Greg Mottola's "Adventureland" and the sleeper hit "Zombieland," he gave the best, and most acclaimed, performance of his career thus far in David Fincher's "The Social Network." But the next time he'll be heard of on screen, following up his almost-certainly Oscar-nominated portrayal of Mark Zuckerberg? He'll be playing a nervous blue macau.
