Before he came known to film fans on this side of the ocean for his turn as Fredrick Zoller in Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds," savvy cinema lovers already knew that Brühl was an actor of incredible talent. He broke out with the one-two punch of "Goodbye Lenin!" and "The Edukators." He followed that up with a solid turn in the WWII drama "Joyeux Noel" and in the indie "2 Days In Paris," but Hollywood finally came calling, as he landed a role in "The Bourne Ultimatum." But the actor doesn't seem to be in any rush, nor particularly interested, in bagging roles in U.S. just for the sake of it, but when Ron Howard comes calling with a project as tantalizing as "Rush," you take the call and check your calendar.

It has been quite the journey for Chris Hemsworth from his days on the Aussie soap "Home And Away." He proved himself capable of carrying a comic movie with charm and charisma to spare with "Thor" and he's got a slate of projects on the way including "The Cabin In The Woods," "Red Dawn," "The Avengers" and "Snow White And The Huntsman." It's certainly a blockbuster loaded slate, but the actor has been making strides into more dramatic fare as well. He's attached to the black ops thriller "Shadow Runner" and he's now taking the pole position on a film that has been gaining a lot of steam.

With the future looking cloudy for the alive, but delayed multi-platform adaptation of Stephen King's "The Dark Tower," Ron Howard has been eyeing other projects. Earlier this spring, he put his name on "Amnesty" a mysterious project written by Max Landis, described as a cross between J.R.R. Tolkien and Robert Ludlum. And now he's snapped up a very hot script as another possible directing gig.

About a week ago, it was reported that Paul Greengrass -- still on the hunt for this next film -- had added two more two his plate of potential gigs: the Somali pirate hostage story, now called "Maersk Alabama" with Tom Hanks attached or a Peter Morgan scripted Formula One racing movie, "Rush." But it looks like one film is finally taking the pole position.

Also Apparently Has A Mystery Project In The WorksIt's been a year since "Green Zone" and a bit longer since the whole "Bourne" fiasco that has resulted in both Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon temporarily leaving the franchise while it reboots/spinoffs with Tony Gilroy's "The Bourne Legacy." Since then, Greengrass has flirted with a number of projects, saw two fall apart -- his Jimi Hendrix biopic which was turned down by the musician's estate and "Memphis" which didn't have the approval of Martin Luther King Jr.'s family -- but it looks like a couple more options are crossing the filmmaker's desk.
