If you'd told us during the heyday of Wu-Tang Clan that RZA would eventually end up helming a legitimate martial-arts film, we would have called you crazy. But here we are, just under a month until the release of his directorial debut, “The Man With The Iron Fists,” and we still can’t believe it’s actually happening. To build anticipation, new artwork and stills have dropped, and they’re really cool.

Amidst all the hoity-toity awards fare and sober dramas this fall, RZA will storm theaters with his directorial debut "The Man With The Iron Fists." The film, which looks to be a wickedly over the top martial arts flick delivered the way only a member of the Wu-Tang Clan knows how, will unsurprisingly feature a heavy duty soundtrack to go with it.

Despite all the blockbuster movies this summer, it seems we really haven't had a great soundtrack to go with them. "The Avengers" melange of alt-rock fodder was a bit embarrassing, and the great selection of songs from "Take This Waltz" do not have an official release just yet. But a couple of movies are just around the corner, that should please both the eyes and ears at the same time.

It was probably inevitable that RZA would eventually strike out and make his own martial arts movie. The Wu-Tang Clan's resident beatmaker, chess genius, philosopher and more has made no secret of his love for the cheapie chopsocky movies he watched growing up from the very moment Enter The 36 Chambers dropped and blew minds. But that it would turn out be as outrageously fun-looking as it does here makes it all the more a pleasant surprise.

Says Tracy Morgan Wants It TooWith the recent buzz about the gestating Tupac and N.W.A. biopics, we kind of forgot this was happening at all, but waaaaay back in 2009 Wu-Tang Clan member, actor, director, chess master and producer RZA first hinted that a biopic about the eccentric and amazing Ol' Dirty Bastard was being bandied about. "We have talked about [a biopic film]. His estate is pretty confused, like any estate is in our country. The estate is kind of confused on what to do, and all the rights and all that shit, but it’s definitely been talked about," he said. And it looks like that talk has developed into something substantial.
