With "True Blood" wrapping up this year, they're very much in the market for another fantasy/sci-fi-type show: Damon Lindelof's "The Leftovers" will debut in a few weeks, and only a week or two back, it was revealed that Darren Aronofsky is developing an adaptation of Margaret Atwood's "MaddAddam" trilogy.

Fortunately, that's what Nikki Finke has done. Sandman Joseph Gordon-Levitt
While certainly not without its problems, “Don Jon” proved a major effort from its director and star Joseph Gordon-Levitt this year, first gaining acclaim at Sundance before making its way to theatres in September. His directing skills were the main takeaway from the experience though, and they haven’t gone unnoticed: news comes today that Levitt may be attached to a considerable leap in material for his sophomore feature, and also that he’s to lead the U.S. cast in the final film from the master of Japanese animation.

Sandman Joseph Gordon-Levitt
As always, this kind of stuff is filled with "maybes," "probablys" and "perhaps one day" — that's the way rumors go. But it's also tantalizing enough that one can't really ignore it, though as always, take this info with a big grain of salt.
