Some actors strive to create a diverse array of work, dipping toes in multiple genres, disappearing in a vast array of different characters. And then there are others who find their niche and stick with it. Such is the case of Joel David More. The tall, skinny geek from "Avatar," who will play a dweeb in "Shark Night 3D" has lined up another dorky part.

In this era of movies being rushed out of the gate (please see the Snow White movies, "The Hunger Games," "X-Men: First Class" and "Green Lantern," among others) to meet a release date, Universal has just dropped info on three titles in their roster and it's notable because they are far, far in the distant future.

Prequel Novel Also In The WorksIt's fair to say that Oliver Stone has been off his game for a while. Recent output varies from the workmanlike ("World Trade Center") to the disappointing ("W") to the disastrous ("Alexander"), and we're not sure we've unreservedly loved one of his films since 1995's "Nixon." But as our retrospective from last year proved, Stone has produced enough great work in his time that we'll always root for him, and his latest picture, "Savages," is shaping up to be his most promising in decades.

Welcome back, Emile Hirsch. The young actor seemed to have disappeared for a quick moment, but he's coming back with a fury. He's got the indie "Killer Joe" and the blockbuster "The Darkest Hour" headed to screens this year, he's currently filming "The Motel Life" with Stephen Dorff, and now he's adding another project to his plate.

While Oliver Stone has been fumbling with last few films, treading water with stuff like "World Trade Center," "W," and "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" he's putting together what is sounding like his most exciting project in years and he's assembling a killer cast to tell the tale.

Aaron Johnson & Taylor Kitsch Look Set To StarIt's kind of funny how things work sometimes. Last month when Jennifer Lawrence first entered talks to star in Oliver Stone's "Savages," a handful of other names were mentioned for roles at the time including Benicio Del Toro. In subsequent reports -- including the announcement of Lawrence's departure due to "The Hunger Games" -- his name again seemed to be absent, but lo and behold he's the one left standing.

The allure of the tentpole has snatched Oscar-nominee Jennifer Lawrence into tween fandom and out of a much more interesting (though less lucrative) project. Deadline reveals -- and recent reports have hinted -- that Jennifer Lawrence has dropped out of Oliver Stone's drug cartel thriller "Savages." However, a host of new names have popped up for the film as it moves toward its summer production start.
