While pretty much every big title to premiere last month at the Sundance Film Festival is now out of the bag, and perhaps a bit less mysterious as a result, one that remains beguiling -- even to those who have seen it -- is Shane Carruth's "Upstream Color." The film written, produced, edited, shot, starring and directed by the polymath, it probably won't surprise you to know he scored the thing as well. And while the movie is now just over a month away, if you can't wait, you can check out the goosebump raising score right now.

By the look of its teaser material, the spring break of the upcoming “Spring Breakers” was set to be a rowdy one with or without Skrillex. Nevertheless, the filmmakers got him on board, along with a host of other talent to provide the bass drops for Harmony Korine's upcoming movie.

While the Oscar talk around "Les Miserables" has pretty much stalled apart from the very, very good chance that Anne Hathaway will walk away with the trophy for her performance of "I Dreamed A Dream," the tremendous fan base have helped push the musical to over $350 million worldwide. Even more, the soundtrack is the second biggest seller of 2013 (behind "Pitch Perfect") moving 245,000 units already, with these kinds of numbers not matched on the charts since 2003. And so it's no surprise that the folks behind the film are going to take another bite at the apple.

Despite it being the digital age, the vinyl format has been a growing, if still a very niche, market. Last year not only saw the soundtrack to Quentin Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs” and Wes Anderson's "Moonrise Kingdom" get a limited edition re-release on the analog format, but also the Alamo Drafthouse art boutique Mondo handle the vinyl release of the “Drive” soundtrack and score. Now the Austin-based company is set to release Jerry Goldsmith’s score for “Poltergeist” on limited edition vinyl.

The Melissa McCarthy and Jason Bateman comedy will be aiming straight for your funny bone, but will also have some ass-shaking tunes on the soundtrack.
