If the prolonged controversy surrounding Kathryn Bigelow's depiction of torture in “Zero Dark Thirty” has for most neared an apex of tolerance, it's still staggering to think about the stress levels likely coursing through the director as she debates it. It must have been a welcome interlude then when during her long press tour she recently sat down for an entertaining and insightful chat with Stephen Colbert to discuss the film's heated debate.

With Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit" now stretching across three films, there is even more room to surprise fans of the director's adaptations of J.R.R. Tolkien's books. And Colbert Nation followers in particular, will want to keep an eye out.

DreamWorks' animated feature "Mr. Peabody & Sherman," based on the popular cartoon series, has announced more names for its voice cast with Stephen Colbert, Allison Janney, Ellie Kemper, Ariel Winter and Stephen Tobolowsky all joining Ty Burrell and Max Charles, who'll voice the titular characters respectively. Colbert plays Mr. Peabody's nemesis, Paul Peterson; Janney as his wife, Paula; and Winter their daughter. A November 8, 2013 release has also been set for theRob Minkoff ("The Lion King") film.
