Hollywood just can't get enough of Alfred Hitchock. With two movies about the man in the works -- "Alfred Hitchcock And The Making of Psycho" with Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren and "The Girl" with Toby Jones and Sienna Miller -- along with brewing "Psycho" prequel and a remake of "To Catch A Thief," everyone is trying to bring the master of suspense into the modern age. And now DreamWorks and Working Title are going to give it a try.

Despite the idea of the suspense thriller for grown-ups being routinely declared dead, the genre itself refuses to stay dead. Every few months, some such film will quietly make a tidy profit at the box office, despite not gathering the same attention as pictures with more explosions in them. Last year saw films like "The Lincoln Lawyer," "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" and "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" all end up firmly in the black, and the companies behind the latter, producers Working Title Films and distributors Focus Features, are teaming up again for another highly promising-sounding turn.

Warner Bros, not content to merely satisfy fanboys with the awesome new "Dark Knight Rises" trailer, has also unleashed a new tease for a sequel that almost no one demanded: "Wrath of the Titans," the follow-up to 2010's abysmal 3D "Clash of the Titans" remake. And while we're not necessarily excited about this new one (how could we be?), it does look marginally more interesting, certainly more expensive, and generally just more than the first film. But, honestly, we're still using Marilyn Manson's cover of "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" to make a trailer seem edgier than it actually is?

Ron Howard's insanely ambitious "The Dark Tower," a three-film, two-TV series adaptation of Stephen King's epic fantasy series, looks to be pretty much dead: it was delayed in search of budget cuts, before Universal dropped it altogether, and the chances of another studio picking up the slack looks to be slim at this point. But the director, still seen as one of the safest pairs of hands around, hasn't sunk into grief: he's prepping Formula 1 drama "Rush" with Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl, which should shoot at the end of the year, and he's got a number of other projects circling: fantasy actioner "Amnesty," MAD Magazine adaptation "Spy Vs. Spy" and the Dustin Lance Black-penned Mormon drama "Under The Banner of Heaven."

It didn't take long for writer Steven Knight to make a big splash in Hollywood, penning scripts that wound up being directed by Stephen Frears ("Dirty Pretty Things"), Michael Apted ("Amazing Grace") and David Cronenberg ("Eastern Promises"). And from there, he quickly found himself writing some very buzzworth projects recently, including the next Dan Brown flick "The Lost Symbol," a Robert Kennedy biopic with Matt Damon attached, a remake of the classic "Le Cercle Rouge" and an "Eastern Promises" sequel (he's also scribed, less promisingly, the sequel to "Clash Of The Titans"). But rather than await around for any of those get made, Knight is pressing forward on his own directorial debut.

'Eastern Promises' Scribe Steven Knight Rewrote Script, Gemma Arterton Nowhere To Be SeenIt's almost exactly a year since "Clash of the Titans" opened, overcoming some tough competition, a beyond-shoddy 3D conversion and terrible reviews to pick up a hugely impressive half-billion dollars worldwide. While filming has been underway for a few weeks in the U.K. on the yet-to-be-officially-titled sequel ("Wrath of the Titans" has been bandied about, but never confirmed), Warner Bros has sent out a press release to officially announce the start of principle photography, and it's confirmed a few cast members, as well as giving the first detailed description of the plot.
