While winter might be more a seasonal fit for the chill that's sure to come with Park Chan-wook's "Stoker," we'll still be ready to get the creeps when the film arrives next spring. Everything we've seen so far about Park Chan-Wook's "Stoker" suggests a heightened fairy tale, an eerie, somewhat unreal story that is half fable, half thriller. And the first poster for the movie certainly plays up that angle in yet another exciting tease for the upcoming film.

There are many reasons to already be stoked for uh, "Stoker," but principally among them: director Park Chan-wook, Nicole Kidman, Mia Wasikowska and a score by Clint Mansell, all wrapped up in a promisingly Hitchcock-ian thriller. And now we have another bit of news that may sustain your excitement until the film is released next spring.

Surprises have been popping up all over the 50th annual New York Film Festival. Perhaps because it's celebrating an important semi-centennial milestone and its beloved chairman Richard Peña is stepping down after 25 years, NYFF is pulling in several riches this year. There's a surprise secret screening on Monday (which could be Fox Searchlight's "Hitchcock" if our guess work is right) and last night a small teaser was unveiled of a highly anticipated 2013 film: Park Chan-Wook's "Stoker."

As much as we're excited that Fox Searchlight made a last minute blitz to release "Hitchcock" into theaters for the award season, we kinda wish it was Park Chan-Wook's "Stoker" instead. Last week brought us a tease, but the full length trailer is here and it's stunning, stylized and impressive stuff, no less than we'd expect from the helmer behind "Oldboy" and the Vengeance trilogy.

After an almost unbearably long wait, with cameras first rolling a year ago, we now have our first footage from "Oldboy" director Park Chan-wook's English-language debut "Stoker," and yes, it looks pretty damn great.

While initially a picture many hoped would land at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, Park Chan-wook's eagerly anticipated English language debut "Stoker" has been both heavily under wraps and long awaited, but now we're less than a year away from release and we're rolling the dice on a fall festival appearance.
