All it takes is one quote for fanboys to start adding up things that aren't there. "The Imaginarium is the performance capture consultant, and I’m playing a role [in both 'Star Wars: Episode 7' and 'The Avengers: Age Of Ultron']. On ‘The Avengers,’ I’ve been working closely with Mark Ruffalo," Andy Serkis told Variety recently. "I’m not at liberty to mention [the role]. But it’s all the same to me. I’ve never drawn a distinction when playing a role, whether it be live action or performance capture. Acting is acting. It’s just basically what you wear to the set that’s different." And somehow from that, some sites start speculating that Serkis was playing The Hulk in Joss Whedon's super sequel or doing all the performance capture. Um, not quite.

Marvel Characters That Could Be Movie
What people forget is that while the WB flexes their muscle, Marvel still has a ridiculously untapped listing of characters, both over at Disney as well as other studios like Fox, Universal and Sony.Marvel’s always going to outnumber and outmuscle them in some ways. The WB can only work on making their movies successful on their own terms.

Marvel Vs. DC
A simple, but terrific (and possibly frightening) observation has been made by our friends over at Rope Of Silicon: over the next four years, if everything goes according to plan for every studio, we're going to see twenty-three (count ‘em) super hero films. Because, as you know, the comic book movie arms race is officially on.

We really shouldn't have to say this but, duh, SPOILERS AHEAD. Granted, given that scripts on blockbuster movies change, and there can be handful of iterations at any moment, and given that Joss Whedon himself has had to adjust course to tweak his movie for the ever-changing Marvel-verse, who knows if these plot details for "The Avengers: Age Of Ultron" are accurate. But, what are tentpole movies without rumors to consider?

Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Philip Seymour Hoffman
There's television and then there's "Louie." Comedian Louis C.K. has brought an auteur approach to his show, one that has consistently challenged the traditional notions of thirty-minute television, and a program that has seen him bring in a wealth of guest stars, not always playing cameos, but carefully selected for their contributions. From David Lynch to Bob Saget to Chloe Sevigny, C.K. has kept audiences on their toes, but there's one guest spot we'll sadly never get to see.

Despite the successful run on TV screens in the late '70s and early '80s, the Hulk has proven to be a tough sell on the big screen, with no less than three actors playing Bruce Banner in less than a decade and Marvel itself at the helm of the last two iterations. While last spring came word from the lastest Banner himself, Mark Ruffalo, that there were “no plans for a stand alone,” leave it to the most iconic Hulk of them all to start the rumor mill anew.

Guardians Of The Galaxy/Avengers
Everyone wants a spin-off. That’s the talk du jour. It’s not enough to just have a franchise, you need solo films to keep that franchise going and going. It’s the new black: release a movie every other year while the main mothership has its flagship super-movie every two or three years, right? Fox hopes to do the same with the “X-Men: Days Of Future Past” series and Mystique (a mooted spin-off while the super-hero team carries on every other few years). And Marvel obviously already has this plan in place: an “Avengers” movie ever few years and in between them they have their solo character movies, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “Ant-Man,” “Thor: The Dark World” etc.

The Avengers
Edgar Wright's "Ant-Man" seems to be done most of its major casting, but one more name has been announced. Relative unknown and "Terminator 3" actor Matt Gerard has joined the cast as the movie's villain; or one of them anyhow. The identity of that villain is currently unknown and like most Marvel movies, we assume they'll be more than one antagonist

First up, comes news from The Wrap that Corey Stoll -- aka Ernest Hemingway in “Midnight In Paris” and Congressman Russo from the first season “House of Cards” -- is circling an undisclosed role in next year’s Edgar Wright-helmed “Ant-Man.” Due to the secrecy, could Stoll’s role be important in Marvel’s grand plan moving forward? We won’t know until Stoll actually commits and joins Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas in the superhero film officially.
