Yes, "The Crow" reboot/remake/whatever is actually happening for real. This morning, Eric Draven himself, Luke Evans, hit Twitter to reveal, "First day of my Intense training for The Crow done!" And while he might be drinking power shakes and getting his abs into six pack shape, the rest of the movie around him has yet to be cast though it seems those wheels are turning.

So is Luke Evans the new reboot king? At any rate, it seems Hollywood is ready for him to be the next thing. He's the baddie in this summer's gearhead flick "Fast & Furious 6" which led to Universal tasking him with "Dracula," a relaunch of their iconic movie monster. And now another character with a penchant for darkness will get Evans taking it on.

The sewers are running white with face paint, as “The Crow” reboot has led a series of actors, from Bradley Cooper to James McAvoy, into discussions of slathering it on for the lead role. “The Avengers” star Tom Hiddleston was the latest name to arise as a possibility, but now it seems another actor’s scheduling troubles may have snagged him the role instead.

So remember those rumors that James McAvoy was being eyed to lead "The Crow? Turns out it wasn't quite true, but maybe it just a game of internet telephone tag because another actor is getting ready to goth, and happens to come from the isle that is the United Kingdom.

James McAvoy’s set to become ubiquitous in 2013. His assault on the silver screen begins this Friday (in the UK at least) with the release of Eran Creevy’s “Welcome to the Punch,” with Danny Boyle’s “Trance” arriving later in the month, and the Irvine Welsh adaptation “Filth” (which has already screened to UK press despite not yet having a release date) surely not far behind. That’s before we’ve even got to “The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: His” and “The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Hers” with Jessica Chastain, which similarly don’t have release dates set yet but we wouldn’t be surprised to see before the year is out.

So with all the Oscar hardware handed out, back to what Hollywood knows how to do best: make reboots and sequels. And one project Hollywood keeps trying to make happen is new version of "The Crow." At one time, the movie was gearing up as a vehicle for Bradley Cooper with "28 Weeks Later" helmer Juan Carlos Fresnadillo directing, but they both wound up leaving the project by the end of 2011, and not much has been heard since. But it seems a new face may be eager to go goth.

While many video game fans know the very low success rate of games-to-movies, they remain excited about an adaptation of "Bioshock." The ambitious game and its sequel have been world-building to an epic extent, taking place in an underwater civilization in 1960. Gore Verbinski was set to produce, with Juan Carlos Fresnadillo set to direct, but it appears the helmer may no longer be on the project.

When you think about Bradley Cooper (People’s Sexiest Man Alive 2011), one usually imagines the jerks he’s played in movies (“Wedding Crashers,” “The Hangover” movies) and it’s easy to picture him as a tool in real life. But then you see him in interviews, and he’s a really nice guy. It’s kind of annoying.

Things for "The Crow" reboot haven't gone well. Though it came out of the gate strong with Bradley Cooper set to star and "28 Weeks Later" helmer Juan Carlos Fresnadillo set to direct, the movie was hit by a lawsuit and then saw both the actor and director bounce from the movie. There hasn't been any movement from the project since, as it needs to start over, but if you're wondering just what could have been, well there is an answer.

'Intruders' Gets Picked Up By MilleniumPoor Eric Draven. No one wants to bring him back to life. The long gestating reboot of "The Crow" is once again on the skids, as a director has, once again, left the project.
