'Ronin' Scribe To Rewrite Doug Liman's 'All You Need Is Kill'Relativity' Media's adaptation of "The Crow" appears to be moving forward rather smoothly. With Bradley Cooper attached to star (doesn't that still feel weird?) and Juan Carlos Fresnadillo ("28 Weeks Later") in the director's chair, the company hit a snag when they became embroiled in a legal battle with the Weinstein Company who, in April, claimed that they possessed “a written contract signed by everybody” which gives the brothers the worldwide rights to the film (they distributed the 1994 film via their Miramax shingle).

It looks like that remake/reboot of "The Crow" with “28 Weeks Later” helmer Juan Carlos Fresnadillo directing and Bradley Cooper circling the lead role is hitting the courtrooms before it flaps its wings into theaters.

You sure know how to fuck with us Hollywood. Just a few days after “28 Weeks Later” helmer Juan Carlos Fresnadillo came aboard to direct the long in the works reboot or whatever of "The Crow" -- that looks like it will be dropping the Nick Cave script (what the hell) -- an actor is now ready to get his dark eyeliner going as Eric Draven. And it's kind of baffling.

So hey, remember last month when it was reported that Mark Wahlberg was being offered the lead in the upcoming "The Crow" reboot? Well as with most offer stories that seem too good to be true, it looks like the actor considered it and then wisely passed.
