The Immigrant
We're halfway through 2014, and Marion Cotillard has already delivered two performances worthy of attention. She earned no shortage of raves for her turn in the Dardennes' "Two Days, One Night" (review here) and she shines in James Gray's "The Immigrant." And now, here's another project to put on your radar.

The Disaster Artist James Franco
Earlier this year, it was announced that James Franco would be directing a feature adaptation of the memoir, "The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room," with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg producing. Penned by actor Greg Sestero, it's an inside look at the making of Tommy Wiseau's cult abomination, "The Room," and the idea of Franco—no stranger to ambitious projects that perhaps don't always live up to expectation—taking it on was pretty inspired. But it seems, in typical James Franco fashion, he might take it one step further.

The Disaster Artist James Franco
There are movies that are bad, and then there's "The Room." Like a modern day "Plan 9 From Outer Space," Tommy Wiseau's 2003 passion project went from horribly reviewed, self-released indie to something of a contemporary cult classic, with the movie still screening frequently, often with audience participation encouraged with everyone shouting out memorable lines ("You are tearing me apart, Lisa!") and throwing spoons at the screen (if you've seen it, you know what that means). And now, "The Room" is getting a touch of James Franco.
