The Fault In Our Stars
You have to hand it to Shailene Woodley. “Divergent” was not exactly a hit with the critics when it came out last month, far from it, but it’s managed to become a solid performer in the box office and has solidified Woodley’s status as a star. Studios have been desperate to replicate the type of success that “Twilight” and “The Hunger Games” have received over the past few years, but only “Divergent” has managed to come close to achieving big box office numbers. Clearly, Shailene Woodley is a big reason for the film’s success. And now, fans of the young actress will get to see her appear on the big screen once again in this summer’s “The Fault In Our Stars.”

The Fault In Our Stars
Currently kicking ass around the world on the big screen in "Divergent," this summer Shailene Woodley will perhaps need someone in her corner fighting for her, in the romantic drama "The Fault In Our Stars." And she'll have that with her co-star Ansel Elgort.

The Fault In Our Stars
Since breaking out in "The Descendants" — where she played the daughter of woman in a coma, while navigating a complex relationship with her father — Shailene Woodley's onscreen characters haven't always had it easy. In "The Spectacular Now" she deals with the complications of dating a selfish, non-committal, directionless alcoholic and next year, her Mom will go missing in "White Bird In A Blizzard" and she'll take on the leaders of a grim post-apocalyptic future in "Divergent." While "The Fault In Our Stars" looks like a love story, once again Woodley will have a rough path.

Long rumored for the movie, last month the trades reported that both "The Descendants" star Shailene Woodley and "True Grit" breakout Hailee Steinfeld were in the mix to take the lead in "The Fault In Our Stars." But it was really Woodley's to lose all along it seems, and the actress has now landed the part.

While the young actor of the moment is currently Oscar nominee Quvenzhané Wallis, a couple of other talents in the past few years have earned attention while not being legally able to drink. Shailene Woodley impressed with her breakout turn in "The Descendants" in 2011, while just the year before, Hailee Steinfeld nabbed an Oscar nod for her performance in "True Grit." It's no surprise Hollywood wants to tap that talent, and they're both being sought for the lead in a new project.
