Talk about getting the gang back together. While he's been playing close to the chest about what he's building with "Grand Budapest Hotel," Wes Anderson has at least slowly been revealing who'll be part of the project. Right around Christmas the director shared that Tilda Swinton, Harvey Keitel, F. Murray Abraham, Mathieu Amalric, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody and Willem Dafoe would be joining the ensemble cast that includes Ralph Fiennes, Jude Law, Saoirse Ronan, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson and Jason Schwartzman. As always, the actors are a mix of familiar and new faces, but when it comes to the talent behind the camera, Anderson is keeping it in the family.

Wes Anderson's next picture, "The Grand Budapest Hotel," was supposed to star Johnny Depp, but that plan fell through. Nevertheless, it has an outstanding cast featuring Ralph Fiennes, Jude Law, Saoirse Ronan, Jeff Goldblum and regular W.A. collaborators Bill Murray, Owen Wilson and Jason Schwartzman. Other names rumored early on were past collaborators Edward Norton who starred in "Moonrise Kingdom," Adrien Brody who was one of the brothers in "The Darjeeling Limited" and Willem Dafoe who played the second-in-command in "The Life Aquatic" (the latter two also did voice work in "Fantastic Mr. Fox").

We really don’t get to see enough of Jeff Goldblum any more. The actor’s last three big-screen appearances were in small roles, in “Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie,” “Morning Glory” and “The Switch,” and that’s just not enough to help sate our Goldblum cravings. That’s why we’re looking forward as much as we are to seeing Goldblum let loose in Wes Anderson’s next movie, “The Grand Budapest Hotel.” He’ll line up alongside regular Anderson collaborators Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman and Owen Wilson, as well as some Anderson newbs in Jude Law, Ralph Fiennes and Saorise Ronan.

Wes Anderson's "Grand Budapest Hotel" has mostly been developing under cover of night, but yesterday the director himself spoke up about the movie. He revealed that it takes place 85 years in the past and is inspired by the films of Billy Wilder and Ernst Lubitsch, which sounds just fine to us. And just 24 hours later, a new cast member has joined, an actress that will be a fresh face amongst his usual troupe.

Wes Anderson's next picture, "Grand Budapest Hotel," is already gearing up...though he'd prefer not to talk about it. But over the course of the last few weeks and months, we've learned that's a Euro-flavored pic (more on that in a sec) that will feature Bill Murray, Jude Law, Ralph Fiennes and Jason Schwartzman with some/all of Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe and Owen Wilson among those all likely to take part. And that's it. Well, a few more details about the movie have been squeezed out of the secretive helmer.

Look at them in that picture -- they were both once so young.... It was on the set of "Rushmore" where Wes Anderson and Jason Schwartzman first crossed paths, and like many who come into the orbit of the director, they hit it off and continued to collaborate further, spending time togther on "Hotel Chevalier," "The Darjeeling Limited," "Fantastic Mr. Fox" and of course, this summer's "Moonrise Kingdom." And obviously, they are working together again.

Some people were a little bummed when they learned that Johnny Depp actually wasn't going to be in Wes Anderson's "The Grand Budapest Hotel." Some folks were relieved. But we think everyone will agree that this next bit of casting is pretty damn awesome.

Jude Law, Bill Murray, Angela Lansbury? Yep. Johnny Depp? It looks like he won't be checking into "The Grand Budapest Hotel" after all.

It seems what Wes Anderson wants, Wes Anderson gets. Earlier this summer, with "Moonrise Kingdom" doing solid business in theaters, the writer/director started putting the pieces together for his next film, "The Grand Budapest Hotel," eyeing Johnny Deep, Jude Law and Angela Lansbury as potential players alongside his usual roster of actors such as Bill Murray, who recently confirmed he'll be taking part. Depp and Law are both on board, and another wish is coming true for Anderson.
