The Interview, Seth Rogen, James Franco
North Korea don't like a lot of things about the West, but they really don't like Seth Rogen and James Franco's "The Interview." Then again, it's not every day that a movie comes along where the central plot is the assassination of your leader, and North Korea has already called the movie "undisguised terrorism" and akin to an act of war. And now the country is taking this all the way to the U.N.

Seven year on from his anointment as a movie star with "Knocked Up" and "Superbad" (and fifteen from his first appearance on screens in "Freaks & Geeks," and Seth Rogen is still riding high. Sure, there have been moments when his projects didn't work out ("The Green Hornet," "The Guilt Trip," but for the most part, he's continued to make smart choices, and particularly in the last couple of years, as he's taken his career more into his own hands (and those of writing/producing/directing partner Evan Goldberg), and set out to make lower budget movies that have turned out to be hugely profitable, as well as critically acclaimed.

Dwayne Johnson, it seems, cannot be contained by two dimensions alone. Variety is reporting that Johnson is returning to the 3D world with the earthquake movie “San Andreas” and reuniting with his “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island”—also in 3D!—director Brad Peyton for the 3D earthquake movie, “San Andreas." Or is it called “San Andreas 3D?” While Allan Loeb and Carlton Cuse both penned earlier drafts, the film will go into production with a script from “The Conjuring” duo Carey Hayes and Chad Hayes. The film will focus on Johnson as an estranged father trying to rescue his daughter after a massive quake at the titular fault.

To say "Freaks & Geeks" launched a lot of careers would be an understatement, but one only has to look at the talent in front and behind camera—Judd Apatow, Paul Feig, James Franco, Martin Starr, Linda Cardellini, Busy Phillips, Jason Segel and many more—to know it was a very special place to be at the time. Indeed, all the talent has cross-pollinated in other projects since, but two familiar faces haven't been seen together on screen since then: Seth Rogen and Lizzy Caplan. Granted, Caplan popped up in a single episode of "Undeclared," but it seems destiny didn't want them paired up again ... until now ...

While Hollywood marriages don't last, it seems bromances are forever. Seth Rogen and James Franco, forever hitched since Daniel and Ken walked into our lives in "Freaks & Geeks," have collaborated on a handful of projects including "Pineapple Express," "The Green Hornet," "Knocked Up" and this summer's apocalypse comedy "This Is The End." The latter was Rogen's first co-directing gig, along with writing partner Evan Goldberg, and it seems that not only did he like the experience, so did Sony.
