Sofia Coppola
Perhaps only one live action, children's fantasy adventure is enough for Joe Wright. With the director busy ramping up "Pan," his new take on the stories of J.M. Barrie, he's exiting a long developing project that he's been linked to for a while.

How I Live Now, Saoirse Ronan,
We recently got to chat with the lovely and talented Saoirse Ronan about her upcoming young adult adaptation "How I Live Now" (review here), which is kind of like what would have happened if Terrence Malick had directed "Red Dawn" (more from that interview soon). And while we had the young actress on the line, we had to quiz her about a myriad of upcoming projects she has in the works, everything from the upcoming Wes Anderson joint "The Grand Budapest Hotel," to Ryan Gosling's directorial debut "How to Catch A Monster," to things that are in a more nebulous state of flux, like Joe Wright's "Little Mermaid" and the hotly rumored "Fantastic Four" and "Star Wars: Episode VII."

Also Says He Wants Saoirse Ronan To Be His 'Little Mermaid'Joe Wright's forthcoming "Hanna" was a massive gear change for the director. A pure genre pic with choreographed fights and a blitzing soundtrack from the Chemical Brothers, it was a far cry from the usual fare by the director of "Atonement" and "Pride & Prejudice." And while his next film, "Anna Karenina," will find him back in costumed period territory, he's got a couple of other projects in the cooker that will once again find him branching out into new terrain. We recently chatted with the director and he shared a couple of tidbits about some films that may be on the horizon for him.

In case you haven't noticed, Hollywood has fairy tale fever. "Red Riding Hood" hit theaters last month, and that's just the start of a forthcoming onslaught that will include "Jack The Giant Killer," "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters," "Snow White And The Huntsman," Tarsem Singh's Snow White film and just last week a Sleeping Beauty movie was packaged with Hailee Steinfeld in the lead. As you may have forgotten, "Hanna" director Joe Wright was eyeing his own fairy tale-based movie but he may put it off for now.
