Last week we brought you numbers 100-51 of our 100 Most Anticipated Films of 2014. Sometimes neophyte actresses come along who fizzle out after a couple of early promising roles. And then there are those who, from practically the first glimpse we get of them, we just know are going to be big, and are going to be around for a while. Alicia Vikander, a no-brainer inclusion on our On the Rise list from March 2012, definitely falls into the latter category, making a vivid impression first in her feature debut “Pure,” and then breaking internationally with the one-two punch in the corset of “A Royal Affair” and “Anna Karenina.”

Casting: David Fincher's 'Gone Girl' Has "Blurred Lines," 'Madding Crowd' Gets Bigger & More

It seems that "Blurred Lines" isn't going away anytime soon, and either getting in on the zeitgeist or (much more likely) sensing some potential, David Fincher is borrowing from the pop culture phenomenon. Seen topless throughout the unrated video of the Robin Thicke hit, model-actress Emily Ratajkowski has joined "Gone Girl." The adaptation of Gillian Flynn's novel already has a fairly bonkers supporting cast that includes Tyler Perry, Neil Patrick Harris, Patrick Fugit and Kim Dickens, alongside the two leads, Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike.

Jared Harris
Jared Harris is one of those actors who, no matter the size or quality of the role, we still get excited about seeing onscreen (case in point: the otherwise abysmal "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones"). Harris, the son of the legendary Richard Harris, makes any movie infinitely more memorable by his mere presence, adding some much-needed color to even the dreariest of studio affairs. Thankfully, a couple of said studio affairs are getting significantly less dreary thanks to Harris: the actor has recently signed on to costar in both Guy Ritchie's big budget "Man from U.N.C.L.E." and the "Poltergeist" remake for "Monster House"-director Gil Kenan.

Warner Bros Taps Guy Ritchie For Historical Love Story 'Empire Rising'

While filming has yet to commence on "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.," his feature film adaptation of the beloved spy series starring Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer, Warner Bros and director Guy Ritchie have already lined up their next project: "Empire Rising," a historical romance set around the construction of the Empire State Building. Author Thomas Kelly, who wrote the 2006 novel on which the film is based, will also provide the screenplay for the film. Something tells us that executives are comparing this to "Titanic" more than "Pearl Harbor," when it comes to epically staged historical love triangles. Sorry, Affleck.

Hugh Grant Enlists For Guy Ritchie's 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E.'

You might be surprised, given the handful of mediocre pictures he's starred in, but Hugh Grant has a reputation for being picky about projects. While he played a variety of characters in The Wachowskis new age epic "Cloud Atlas," the last time he appeared on screen in something that wasn't a voice role? 2009's already forgotten and poorly reviewed "Did You Hear About The Morgans?" But he's been a bit busier lately. He's already got a rom-com shooting that teams him with Marisa Tomei and will see release next year, and how he's jumping on board another unlikely big budget production.

There was a lot of things that didn't work in Baz Luhrmann's glitter factory "The Great Gatsby," but one thing that stood clear and strong was Elizabeth Debicki. More than anyone else in the cast, the rising actress got across the Jazz Age attitude with ease, and still portrayed the empty vanity of her character without giving up her presence on screen. And it seems Warner Bros. liked what they saw too because they're lining up another tentpole for her.

Confident much, Warner Bros.? Tom Cruise may have abruptly exited "The Man From U.N.C.LE.," the studio's spy action thriller which Guy Ritchie will direct, but acting quickly, the studio has already found a would-be replacement. And while he's far from a household name yet, the actor, British thespian Henry Cavill is set to play Superman in WB's "Man Of Steel" this summer, and clearly the studio is feeling good about the film's box-office chances and therefore by proxy, launching the actor near the A-list.
