With “Lee Daniels’ The Butler” crossing the $100 million mark and awards sure to come, Lee Daniels and screenwriter Danny Strong have decided to stick together for their next project. Deadline reports the duo will take their talents to the small screen through the guidance of Brian Grazer for “a unique family drama set in the world of a hip hop empire.” The untitled project, set to be developed for Fox under “a put pilot commitment,” will see Daniels make his first foray into television as he is set to helm the Strong-scripted pilot.

"I'm a movie star now, bitch," "Breaking Bad" star Aaron Paul said into his cellphone to HBO, before driving his Ferarri into the Malibu sunset. Okay, that probably didn't happen, but with the actor now toplining the franchise ready "Need For Speed," it seems the allure of the television -- no matter how strong the quality of the project -- is perhaps losing its sheen. Even though it was reported to have a pilot order this summer, it seems HBO's "The Missionary" has had to find a new lead, and indeed they have.

With the clock now running down on AMC's "Breaking Bad" with two season left to go, the future for actor Aaron Paul is a bit uncertain. Will he make the leap to the big screen? Earlier this year he earned very strong notices for his turn in the alcoholism drama "Smashed" which was picked up by Sony Pictures Classics, but aside from that, the actor hasn't been making too many big moves, though he has roles in indies "Decoding Annie Parker" and "Quad" coming up. But HBO is hoping they'll be able to snare him for a new series that will certainly be something a bit different for the actor, who until now we mostly associate with dealing meth and being able to say "bitch" rather colorfully.
