Are you tired of the marketing onslaught yet for "The Muppets"? Considering Disney is banking on revitalizing an entire franchise based on the success of the film, we suppose we can't blame them for blanketing the web and everywhere else with material from the movie, but we just hope there is something left to savor when we finally catch up with it.

Listen, we know. "The Muppets" marketing machine has been insane -- just look at the deluge of clips that have hit in the past week or so -- but dammit it all if these felt-covered creations don't keep melting our cold, cynical hearts each time they pop up on screen. With the release date looming, yet another trailer has arrived, and yes, it's charming, enjoyable, goofy and fun.

Yes, "The Muppets" marketing is now in full swing and the clips and sneak peeks have been hitting fast and furious over the past few days. So in case you've missed them, we've rounded up what we haven't already covered here so sit back, and unwind with what looks to be the most pure and enthusiastically childlike movie of the fall. The film has already started screening for critics -- many of whom said they wiped away a few tears in addition to having a great time -- and "The Muppets" hit the Savannah Film Festival over the weekend as a surprise screening, to the chagrin of more than a few who were expecting one of the buzzier awards season contenders. Well, if you can't wait, this stuff should tide you over.

We need to talk about Walter. He's the newest felt-covered creation and the co-lead of sorts in the forthcoming "The Muppets," which continues its full on charm offensive.

What else is left to say about "The Muppets" at this point? The marketing campaign has been one of the best of any movie this year and while certain longtime Muppets handlers and hangers-on may be grumbling about the direction Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller have taken the beloved felt-covered creations in the upcoming James Bobin-directed movie, most everyone else can agree, they've done a great job.

Frank Oz Says He Turned Down 'The Muppets' Because The Script Didn't Respect The CharactersIt seemed almost too good to be true. Buoyed with clever, parody driven teaser spots, an effusive, infectious energy and full-length trailers that really differed, who would've thought that behind the scenes, Disney is not only worried about the upcoming franchise reboot, but there is also dissent among some longtime performers about the approach writers Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller have taken with the brand. THR has an excellently detailed look at the hand-wringing behind the scenes, but it's Frank Oz's recent comments to Metro that synthesize the struggle between the old and new guard.

If there was a way we could Benjamin Button ourselves back to being eight years old before watching the forthcoming "The Muppets," we would, but as it stands, it looks like our adult selves are still gonna have a helluva time with the movie when it hits next month.

And Five We're Worried About/DreadingWith the Toronto International Film Festival now over, the dust is beginning to settle on 2011 and we're moving into the final stage of the fall movie season. Many, if not most, of autumn's Oscar season big hitters have now been revealed, leaving principally commercial fare, and a few prestige-y films that are rushing towards completion. As ever, the benefits of opening your Christmas presents early is a mixed bag; it means that we're able to firmly recommend some big fall films, movies like "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy," "Shame" and "We Need To Talk About Kevin." It means we can also tell you to be wary of the likes of "W.E." and "Butter."
