'Argo,' 'Rust And Bone,' 'Amour' & More Head To BFI London Film Festival

Telluride is wrapped, Venice heads into its final days and TIFF is just about to gear up, but the festival season is far from over. The BFI London Film Festival has dropped their slate this morning and not only is it pulling titles from all those fests, it has nabbed the best of Sundance and Cannes as well for what is a greatest hits package of sorts for cinephiles.

There are certain advantages to working for a film website. Aside from all the fortune (translation: payment in expired Amazon vouchers), fame (translation: getting death threats on Twitter from "Wrath of the Titans" fans) and sex (translation: desperately awkward attempts at flirting during roundtable interviews), the main one is that sometimes you get to see films a little bit early.

After the debut of a hearty and warm trailer for Ben Lewin's "The Sessions," we now have a new clip from the Sundance sensation, which stars John Hawkes as real-life figure Mark O'Brien, a man afflicted by polio who was confined to an iron lung for the most of his life, who embarks on a journey to lose his virginity.

On the face of it, a movie about a 38-year-old man crippled by polio who seeks a chance to lose his virginity doesn't exactly seem like the stuff of comedy or even feel-good drama. But premiering earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival to strong reviews, with whispers of Oscar, it looks like "The Sessions" (formerly known as "The Surrogate") accomplishes just that.
