David Gordon Green's ventures with the Judd Apatow crowd have had him take on the likes of "Pineapple Express" and "Your Highness," but with recent news of a potential return to more serious material with an adaptation of time-bending, romantic drama "Q," (as well as the gestating "Suspiria" remake and the Barefoot Bandit tale) it looks like the upcoming babysitting flick "The Sitter," starring Jonah Hill, could be our last opportunity to see the helmer tackle an R-rated comedy for a while.

While he's taken a stride into more dramatic fare with "Cyrus" and "Moneyball," make no mistake, Jonah Hill isn't leaving the funny stuff behind. He's currently voicing the Fox animated show "Allen Gregory," he's got the action comedy "21 Jump Street" hitting next spring and next month he'll lead a bunch of kids on a night they'll never forget in "The Sitter."

Any of you moms or dads need a night off? The AV Club tipped us to a number for a new babysitter. We've called five times now and he won't pick up, but here are the deets if you're interested: "Hi this is Noah Griffith, if you're calling about the babysitting job let me just say: I will toke up in your house, I've been known to shoplift when I've had too much to drink, I DON'T play games, unless you've got a safe word, you hear me lady, I will not clean up after myself, I will not even report on the whereabouts of your children, I will not say no in the face of danger, and I charge $18 an hour, if this sounds good, leave your information and i will probably get back to you."

Eclectic Director Talks Horror Remakes That Got It RightFew horror films are as critically revered and fanatically adored as Italian director Dario Argento’s operatic 1977 shocker “Suspiria.” Centered on the witchy goings-on at a prestigious ballet school, it is largely considered one of the scariest movies of all time and served as the chief inspiration for Darren Aronofsky’s Oscar-nominated (and similarly nightmarish) “Black Swan.” The idea of remaking “Suspiria” is a daunting one, but that hasn’t deterred David Gordon Green -- the versatile director behind such disparate films as “All the Real Girls,” “Pineapple Express” and "Your Highness" -- from doggedly pursuing an updated version.

So, the red band trailer for David Gordon Green's R-rated "The Sitter" hit yesterday and it was...underwhelming. Well, the cleaned up version has arrived so they can show it in front of non R-rated movies and guess what? It's underwhelming as well.

It seemed earlier this spring everyone's funny bone was severely damaged when no one showed up for the awesomely retarded "Your Highness," David Gordon Green's R-rated fantasy adventure. Maybe it was the swords or perhaps James Franco, but for whatever reason, no one wanted to get with it. Your loss really, but Green is back for another stab at the R-rated apple with "The Sitter."

Filmmaker Says The Comedy Is Like 'After Hours' Meets 'Adventures In Babysitting,' But Has Strong Dramatic NotesA funny thing happened to director David Gordon Green ("All The Real Girls," the upcoming "Your Highness") on his detour into the mainstream: he stayed there a little bit longer than he had originally anticipated. "After 'Your Highness' I wanted to do a character piece. I love working with kids, I wanted to be in NYC and I literally had that guideline," Green said in an interview with The Playlist this week. "But at that point I was knew I didn’t want it to be a comedy."

A couple of notable release dates on the move today for 20th Century Fox. First to make a shift is the "Planet Of The Apes" reboot "Rise Of The Apes" with James Franco and Freida Pinto which will now be released on August 5th. The film has already switched release dates twice but the new spot will make it the "last big event movie of the summer" according to 20th Century Fox's Twitter account. It had originally been scheduled for June 24th and was then pushed back just two months ago to a Thanksgiving weekend release on November 23rd; now it's been moved back closer to it's original summer bow.
