The listings for the multilpex at the moment kind of feels like a timewarp into the early 1990s. A couple weeks ago, Arnold Schwarzenegger made his return to starring roles after a decade spent bankrupting California as the state's governor, in "The Last Stand." On Friday, Sylvester Stallone starred in "Bullet to the Head," a throwback actioner directed by the long-absent Walter Hill. And there's plenty more where they came from. Arnie & Sly will reteam in September for "The Tomb," while the latter returns two months later opposite Robert De Niro in "Grudge Match." And in 2014, the Governator will lead David Ayer's "Ten," alongside Sam Worthington.

Over the last few days, we've been pin-pointing 100 of the films we're most looking forward to over the next twelve months. Of course, they won't all be great -- and some will be terrible -- but they all give some reason for hope, to one degree or another.

Good news for awards contenders this year: the field just got a little thinner. Because the potential prestige juggernaut that was "The Big Wedding," an all-star rom-com starring Diane Keaton, Robert De Niro, Susan Sarandon, Katherine Heigl, Amanda Seyfried, Ben Barnes, Robin Williams and Topher Grace, the directorial debut of "The Bucket List" writer Justin Zackham (yes, that Paddy Chayefsky of the 21st century) is no longer a 2012 release, as parent studio Lionsgate have moved it from the so-close-you-can-almost-taste-it date of October 26th, to the far-off distant lands of April 26th, 2013, a date that it has all to itself (although "Iron Man 3" hits a week later), and exactly six months from the original release date.

After eight years of governating, are audiences ready for the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger as a regular big screen presence? With the actor closing in on 70, the window for action movie roles is quickly closing, but he's making the most of it. "The Expendables 2" opens this weekend, he's got "The Last Stand" arriving in theaters in January and he's getting ready to roll on the cop thriller "Breacher." And also on the way is "The Tomb," another flick with his buddy Slyvester Stallone, and the first official image has dropped.

If you removed Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger from the equation, the cast lining up for "The Tomb" seems like something that would fit a straight-to-DVD potboiler, instead of a teamup between two aging action icons. Either way, "The Tomb" is gonna be...weird.

After playing Jesus Christ in Mel Gibson's notorious torture porn take on the man in "The Passion Of Christ," it seemed the career of Jim Caviezel needed a prayer. The actor mostly flitted around in a bunch of movies you didn't see like "Bobby Jones: Stroke Of Genius," "Unknown" (not the one with Liam Neeson) and "The Stoning Of Soraya M." He seems to be have a new lifeline thanks to the series "Person Of Interest" and now he's lined up what is easily his biggest role since he got up on the cross.

Even though David Morrell was the original author of "First Blood," star Sylvester Stallone has co-opted the popular character of John Rambo to the point where 2008's "Rambo," co-written and directed by Stallone, was near-autobiographical. Retiring the violent soldier hero made sense, as Stallone is now 65 years old. But legally speaking, the onscreen John Rambo doesn't belong to Morrell or Stallone, but rather Lionsgate, who released the last 'Rambo' film to a $113 million worldwide gross. In other words, a new 'Rambo' movie will happen with or without Stallone.

Well, the rumors are true. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone are going to tag team on another movie, and no, it won't have the word 'Expendables' in it.

Somewhere between “Get Carter” and “Shade” it seemed as though Sylvester Stallone’s career was over. Then, in 2006, he decided to revitalize the “Rocky” franchise and guess what? People loved it. A year later, he did the same with “Rambo.” Lightning doesn’t strike three times, right? It did for Stallone. He wisely left nothing to chance for the third go-around, and cast every B-movie action star for the mega action film “The Expendables.”
