More confirmations and little updates continue to roll in for Terry Gilliam's "The Zero Theorem" as shooting is set to get underway in just a few weeks. Yesterday, Brit actor David Thewlis was confirmed as part of the cast, joining Christoph Waltz and Melanie Thierry in the pic. And now another name (one mentioned by Thierry earlier this month) has also been locked down, though for a much smaller role than we had imagined.

So far, with Christoph Waltz and Melanie Thierry on board for Terry Gilliam's "The Zero Theorem," things are already looking promising for the picture, and even the rumored names are exciting, with Tilda Swinton recently mentioned (but not confirmed) as one of the participants in the picture. But another actor has come on board, raising the stakes just a bit higher.

It looks like it's full steam ahead on the next feature film from Terry Gilliam, and so far it's looking quite promising. The director has already lined up Christoph Waltz in the lead role of the sci-fi flick "The Zero Theorem," which apparently mostly takes place in a chapel, centers around four main characters, and possibly includes nudity of some kind. And while word has mostly been quiet since the film was announced back in August, it looks like the cast is beginning to take shape.

Yes, Terry Gilliam is finally at work on a new film that is actually greenlit, has funding, is in pre-production and looking at a scheduled shooting start date. Announced last week, "The Zero Theorem" will star Christoph Waltz as Qohen in a futuristic story about a computer hacker whose work to find the reason for human existence is constantly diverted and interrupted thanks to the Management, who send a teenager and lusty love interest to distract him. If anything, Gilliam must be glad to be talking about a project that isn't "The Man Who Killed Don Quixote," and indeed he's spilled a few details about what we can expect from his next effort.

It was just last month that Terry Gilliam said that his long developing, forever plagued "The Who Killed Don Quixote" wouldn't be next, revealing that he was starting work on new film that would come first. "Romania. Let’s just say that I’ve been seen around Bucharest, Romania," he teased. "That’s it. It used to be that Italy was the best place to make quality films without spending a lot of money. Then, after communism, it was Prague. Then Budapest. Now it’s Bucharest." Well, now we know what he's up to and it's pretty exciting.
