At only 23 years old, Elizabeth Olsen's career is just beginning. As you know, she broke out in last year's cult drama "Martha Marcy May Marlene" and we've since seen her spread her wings a little bit. Earlier this year she did the horror thing with "Silent House" and later this year she'll pop up in a variety of films including the thriller "Red Lights," the dramedy "Peace, Love & Misunderstanding" and her latest Sundance effort "Liberal Arts." But at the moment, she's stepping into her first period picture.

As one half of the comedic duo behind "Little Britain," Matt Lucas has stayed relatively close to his lighter wheelhouse when venturing onto the silver screen featuring in "Bridesmaids," "Gnomeo & Juliet" and the upcoming "Small Apartments." The actor, though, is in line for a bit of a gear change, joining Charlie Stratton's adaptation of Emile Zola's period-drama "Therese Raquin."

As a couple readers pointed out, Deadline has this in their report last week when Oscar Isaac joined "Therese Raquin" but we weren't sure if it was an error or official at the time. But it seems it is and while the film is losing one great veteran, it's gaining another actress who has experiencing a recent surge of popularity.

Well, if the filmmakers were trying to make a movie that caters right to The Playlist's sweet spot, they're coming pretty close with "Therese Raquin." Already set to star veteran Glenn Close, rising star Elizabeth Olsen and that guy from 'Harry Potter' Tom Felton, the film has now added one more emerging talent to the cast.

After a breakout year in 2011 courtesy of "Martha Marcy May Marlene," up-and-coming actress Elizabeth Olsen is planning for 2012 to be a "year of firsts": "my first time portraying a real-life person," "my first period piece," and "for the first time in my life, I'm putting work first."

It's already got the makings of a great infographic: "What the stars of Harry Potter did next." With each of the (now not so young) stars of the franchise making their first steps of their post-Potter careers, it's going to be very interesting to see which of them manage to carve out a successful route for themselves and which we'll have completely forgotten about in ten years.

Even though they migth be battling each other for Best Actress in a few short months at the Oscars for their performances in "Albert Nobbs" and "Martha Marcy May Marlene," Elizabeth Olsen and Glenn Close won't let that spoil any chance of the fresh faced next generation new wave actress and the respected old guard veteran from working together on a movie.
