With Mads Mikkelsen not being able to step into the villain role in "Thor: The Dark World" due to scheduling issues with the upcoming NBC show "Hannibal," the part remained open, and surprisingly there wasn't the usual run of rumored names and wishlists. Phase One of Marvel's comic book movie plan was one of the most ambitious projects ever undertaken. After the success of "Iron Man," the comics company-turned-film studio, who had started financing their own movies, started putting together a four-year-plan that would see an "Iron Man" sequel, as well as introductions to "Thor" and "Captain America," that would lead into team-up movie "The Avengers." And boy did it pay off. All the films were hits individually, before "The Avengers" became a phenomenon this spring, taking nearly $1.5 billion worldwide to date, making it the third-biggest-grossing film of all time.

“Thor 2” is losing one of the Warriors Three, the Hollywood Reporter is reporting. Josh Dallas won’t be reprising his role as Fandral due to his schedule for ABC’s hit fairy tale show, “Once Upon A Time.” Instead, “Chuck” star Zachary Levi is in talks to take over the role that he initially had to turn down when the cult NBC comedy had its season three order extended.
