The Lego Movie
Play on, indeed. As expected, the universally beloved “The Lego Movie” dominated the box office again, taking the number one spot for the third week in a row. Only dropping 36.9% from its second week, Warner Bros.' animated juggernaut took in a healthy $31.4 million over the weekend with its domestic total now at $183.1 million. The movie has grossed $234 million worldwide so far and presumably will keep ascending, but internationally, ‘Lego’ isn't quite as gigantic of a draw.

Three Days To Kill
French filmmaker Luc Besson used to make arty entertainments that came packaged with an element of exploitative sizzle (things like the endlessly remade "La Femme Nikita" and "The Fifth Element," which was like a European comic book version of "Star Wars"). At some point, though, his interest in directing faded, his personal output became sporadic and scattershot, and instead he refashioned himself as a kind of European Roger Corman, co-writing and producing a slew of trashy thrillers that had marginally more sheen and complexity than your average direct-to-cable premiere. "3 Days to Kill" is the latest feature to emerge from the Besson hit factory, and is one of the filmmaker's better productions, mostly because he seems to have found a kindred spirit in director McG, who has overseen a number of junky guilty pleasures himself.

3 Days To Kill
At one point, in a much more optimistic past, Kevin Costner's William Harper from "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit" was being kicked around for his own standalone film. But considering that film was a flop, it's unlikely to happen. Still, the combination of older dudes kicking ass is one that remains intriguing to studios and audiences (hence "Taken 3"), and next month you'll have a couple of options. Liam Neeson will throw down in "Non-Stop," and Costner is going to get things done in "3 Days To Kill."

Move over Liam Neeson, there's new older leading male actor ready to slum it in a modestly budgeted Euro thriller produced and co-written by Luc Besson: Kevin Costner. That's right, Superman's Dad is ready to rumble abroad and the first trailer for "3 Days To Kill" is here to show off what he's up to.

You might be under the impression that Hollywood only releases romances and dramas on Valentine's Day, hoping to lure in couples celebrating their annual moment of gross PDA. You would be wrong. In recent years, movies like "The Wolfman," "Safe House" and "Live Free Or Die Hard" hit theaters on or around V-Day, and 2014 will be no different. Granted, remakes "Endless Love" and "About Last Night" will be aiming for the heartsick, but YA adaptations "The Maze Runner" and "Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters" will also be in the mix and joining them is a movie co-written and produced by none other than Luc Besson.

Perennially cast as the eye candy or love interest in B-action movies like “Never Back Down” and “Drive Angry,” Amber Heard is set to take her talents to a much higher profile project. Variety is reporting that the “All The Boys Love Mandy Lane” actress is joining the McG-helmed “Three Days to Kill” opposite Kevin Costner.

Is Kevin Costner ready for a multiplex comeback? At one time, the actor was a big star, who could carry both drama and comedy to big box office success. The late '80s and early '90s in particular saw him handle an incredible run of films that included "The Untouchables," "Field Of Dreams," "Bull Durham," "Dances With Wolves," "Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves" and "JFK." And while he hasn't had that kind of success in quite some time, the massive critical and popular approval of the miniseries "Hatfields & McCoys" (22 Emmy nominations) along with a role in the upcoming "Man Of Steel" could mean a comeback is around the corner.
