Far From Men, Viggo Mortensen
There is no shortage of serious movies hitting the festival circuit this fall, but only one of them boasts the distinction of being based on the short story "L'Hôte" by Albert Camus. That's right, the philosopher's work is behind the latest from writer/director David Oelhoeffen, and with "Far From Men" hitting both Venice and TIFF in the next couple of weeks, two new clips are here to go with the trailer that landed a week ago.

Maggie
For most people, getting the opportunity to show your movie at TIFF is a blessing, giving your movie a chance to court international press, while screening for enthusiastic audiences and critics from around the globe. Now add in the factor of having Arnold Schwarzenegger in a lead role in a zombie movie, you would think that boost might be helpful rather than a hindrance. But it appears that's not the case.

The Connection
There are few films about the battle between Johnny Law and drug dealers that can measure up to "The French Connection," so if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. That seems to be Cédric Jimenez's operating principle, as his forthcoming "The Connection" is a Euro flavored take on William Friedkin's classic. The movie is headed to the Toronto International Film Festival for its world premiere, and the first international teaser trailer is here.
