One gets flummoxed when forced to discuss something like “Jewtopia,” the existence of which we’d all like to disavow. Based on the sort of off-Broadway play best suited to people who hate theater, this embarrassing cocktail of racial obliviousness nonetheless has amassed a considerable cast of established names to sully themselves for the sake of gags that would be booed out of the writer’s room for a Chuck Lorre sitcom. So it’s got that going for it: if you like moderately big names regardless of the context, then “Jewtopia” merits a hearty recommendation.

Also, For Some Reason, Tom ArnoldWhile Bradley Cooper has used his post-"Limitless" and "The Hangover Part II" career to take a step upward with parts in Derek Cianfrance's "The Place Beyond The Pines," David O. Russell's "The Silver Linings Playbook," Alex Proyas' "Paradise Lost" and possibly even Warner Bros.' "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.," he's not above doing favors for friends. Even if it means starring in a movie directed by Dax Shepard.

Tom Arnold Also Circling A Role As Crispin Glover's BrotherHow far and strangely we've fallen. For "Freaky Deaky," the adaptation of the Elmore Leonard novel that at one time had folks like William H. Macy and Sienna Miller in the leads before going through a few casting shifts and settling on the lesser, but still somewhat respectable quartet of Matt Dillon, Brendan Fraser, Craig Robinson and Katie Cassidy. The cast was recycled again, settling on a straight-to-DVD strong bunch of Billy Burke, Christian Slater, Michael Jai White, newcomer Breanne Racano and Roger Bart. That pretty much killed whatever interest we had in the project -- until now.

Let's take a trip back in time shall we? Back in the summer of 2009, Tom Arnold said -- either sarcastically or delusionally -- about a possible "True Lies 2" that, "All I know is Jim Cameron’s making it and Arnold [Schwarzenegger] and I are going to be in it, and it starts shooting in 14 months, the day after Arnold stops being governor of California. It’s not going to be called ‘True Lies II,’ but it might as well be. I can live with that." Well, that time has since passed and either Arnold was lying, joking or hoping (probably somewhere in the middle of that). Anyway, he recently chatted with Movieweb (via /Film) and once again made some bold claims.

So Dax Shepherd has directed his first feature-length comedy, "Brother's Justice," and after recently unspooling at the Austin Film Festival he's drawn the big guns, sending the trailer over to Deadline to try and help land some distribution for the film.
