Nicholas Stoller’s “Townies,” announced last May, will pit Seth Rogen in an against-type role as a suburban family man against Zac Efron in an against-type role as a rowdy frat boy, two casting choices that we find positively titillating. News that Dave Franco and Christopher Mintz-Plasse had signed on broke last month, upping the ante. And now it seems that another potential frat brother has been cast.

While his last film "The Guilt Trip" proved to be something of a box-office disappointment, Seth Rogen remains as busy as ever: his directorial debut "The End Of The World" hits later in the summer, he's guest-starring on the new season of "Arrested Development," and only yesterday, lined up another potential helming project with partner Evan Goldberg, comedy-thriller "The Interview."

“Damages” star and “Bridesmaids” queen bee Rose Byrne is in negotiations for two major movie projects – Warner Bros.’s “This is Where I Leave You” and Universal’s “Townies.” In the Shawn Levy-directed and Jonathan Tropper-written “This is Where I Leave You,” the Aussie actress joins an ensemble cast that currently includes Jason Bateman, Tina Fey, Adam Driver (HBO’s “Girls”), Kathryn Hahn, and Jane Fonda.

Judd Apatow has made no secret of it for some time: he and his family love Zac Efron. It's a move that semi-legitimized the young actor who seemingly has been trying to bust out of the teen hearthrob ghetto with only mixed results thus far (though "The Paperboy" is right around the corner and a few passion projects are simmering). Efron worked with Apatow's wife Leslie Mann on "17 Again," and apparently the whole gang hang out from time to time. So perhaps it was no major shock when Apatow troupe member and friend Seth Rogen was announced as Efron's co-star in an R-Rated comedy for Universal last year. Definitely an edgier move than Efron fans are used to at this point.
