12 Show Hoping To Be The Next 'Breaking Bad'
Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone, prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone. The one who knocks knocks no more. We won't give away what went down in Sunday's series finale of "Breaking Bad," partly because we don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't yet seen it and partly because we wrote this before it aired, but we know that we're not spoiling anything to say that there's no more of Vince Gilligan's praised-to-the-skies cult hit coming down the pipeline. The show's two-part fifth season has long been planned to be the last, and Walter White's story is well and truly all wrapped up.

In spite of the disaster that was Amazon’s scripted series/continuation of the film, “Zombieland,” the company isn’t content to get out of the scripted content game altogether. The massive online provider of everything has purchased two additional pilots to turn into series: “Bosch," based on the series of popular procedural novels written by Michael Connelly, as well as “Transparent” starring Jeffrey Tambor. Amazon also has its eye on “The After,” from “X-Files” creator Chris Carter. But for our purposes, the most interesting of the bunch is “Mozart in the Jungle” from Jason Schwartzman and Roman Coppola, about the classical music scene in New York.

Well, if you're making a comedy you want us to see sight unseen, this is a pretty good way to do it. Line up an acclaimed actor, usually known for his dramatic work, but who has hidden comic chops and pair him with an underrated but consistently strong and hilarious actress and you'll have our curiosity. When those people are Philip Seymour Hoffman and Kathryn Hahn, well sir, you have our attention.
