Whether or not the legendary Hayao Miyazaki returns from his apparent retirement following his recent “final” film “The Wind Rises," the future of Studio Ghibli still remains bright. Miyazaki’s cohorts Isao Takahata and Hiromasa Yonebayashi have each lent their directorial talents to Ghibli films in the past (“My Neighbors The Yamadas," “The Secret World of Arietty”), but Hayao’s son Goro Miyazaki has also thrown his hat into the ring as well, and now he plans to take the studio into new territory on the small screen.

Nicolas Winding Refn David Beckham
Last night, a game was played, and a team won and a team lost, and Seattle seemed to be super happy for some reason. But for our purposes, the Super Bowl means lot of new trailers (including "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and the first teaser for "Transformers: Age Of Extinction" among others) and of course, lots of celeb talent getting paid big bucks to sell things. So, clear away the bones from last night's chicken wings and check out the below.

Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Philip Seymour Hoffman
With your empathies obviously in the right place, the question you might be asking yourself right now is: “Wait, Philip Seymour Hoffman was shooting 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 & 2' as Plutarch Heavensbee recently. Will the movie be OK?”

Girls
If the third season of "Girls" has thus far been dedicated to anything, it's underscoring Hannah's (Lena Dunham) selfishness. Until now, things have seemingly been on track for Hannah, with her relationship with Adam (Adam Driver) now solidified and her career as a writer starting to take shape. But her ambition has only been matched by a tunnel-vision that seems to keep the concerns of everyone else to the side. Her lack of empathy following the death of her editor David was the central focus on last week's "Dead Inside," and even her trip to pick up Jessa (Jemima Kirke) from rehab at the start of season doubled as an opportunity to hopefully get a story out of the road trip. But could Hannah's self-centeredness simply stem from the fact that she's an only child? Indeed, the title of tonight's episode puts that fact in central view.

From Dusk Till Dawn
There's a lot of great TV coming over the next year — you can see our list of The 20 Most Anticipated TV Shows Of 2014 — but one we're still kinda not certain on is Robert Rodriguez's "From Dusk Till Dawn." Yep, the director's little grindhouse flick is now a television show. And while we'd like to give you the plot of the series in a convenient digestible logline, it's so bonkers, you're just going to have to read this official synopsis:

The fourth season of the hit HBO show will deal with the aftermath of all that and to get you even more stoked—in case the first trailer didn't—15 new images from the upcoming batch of episodes are here.

But for the rest us, we'll be waiting for the Game Day trailers and ads that will be the water cooler conversation material on Monday.
