So, yeah, they made a fourth one of these. You guys keeping seeing them, so they'll keep making 'em but as this point, the franchise is lagging both in number and financially behind Milla Jovovich's "Resident Evil" series (the fifth one is already filming). But since both are from Screen Gems, and still turn a profit, the studio probably doesn't care that much.

On Saturday at the New York Comic-Con, Sony promised a panel dedicated to “Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance.” But in a bit of a surprise, they gave fans a first look at two other upcoming genre films on their slate. This being Comic-Con, people expected a glimpse of “The Amazing Spider-Man.” But aside from a stuffed mannequin hanging upside down on the showroom floor, promotion for the upcoming superhero tentpole was completely absent. Instead, Sony, gave us a Len Wiseman horror show.

Gross Producers Mourn The Loss Of The Casting CouchSony has bravely decided to throw open the (digital) doors to anyone and everyone, launching Face Of The Fan, an online cattle call of sorts that instead of directing hundreds of anonymous people to their studios, will allow Hollywood hopefuls to access select script pages so they can rehearse and upload audition footage. Kicking off the new initiative is a casting call for "a pivotal role as a female teenager" named Selene is the upcoming "Underworld 4."

So, yeah, "Underworld 4" is officially a thing that is happening with Kate Beckinsale signing on for the project back in September. Audiences seem to love watching women in tight leather outfits running around kicking ass (please see "Resident Evil: Afterlife") and these the 'Underworld' films seem to be cheap to make and turn a good profit so no surprise Screen Gems/Lakeshore Entertainment are looking to get another one there.
