We knew that “X-Men: Days of Future Past” would be hopping between different time periods due to the nature of the story, but we didn’t know what those time periods would be. Well, we still don’t entirely (will the present-day stuff be pre or post “X-Men: The Last Stand”?), but we now know for certain that at least some of the film will be set in the ‘70s thanks to a new tweeted pic of a young Beast and age-unknown Wolverine together. It’s a pretty cool image and the ‘70s costumes look pretty great…although of course Logan’s still sporting that timeless jacket of his. This thing could still be an unwieldy mess, but we can’t help but be impressed by what Singer’s shown us so far.

Currently on a publicity tour for "Jack the Giant Slayer" and working to bring together "X-Men: Days of Future Past," the next leg of the reinvigorated X-Men franchise, Bryan Singer has spoken of how difficult he found it letting them go the first time around, when he departed the franchise (of which he directed the first two installments) in favor of rival superhero picture "Superman Returns."

Ah, Twitter, where everything from raging political discourse (in 144 characters or less) to fake Michael Haneke accounts to tweets of funny cat videos all co-exist. And Bryan Singer is a fan of the social media, circumventing ye boring olde trades, to drop updates and announcements on the tool that lets him reach fans right away. And with the week closing out, he's shared a few more surprises.

"The 'X-Men' script? It's in my inbox. I've still got to read it. I'm very excited about it, but I've just been doing so much of this and working at night so I'm starting work at 9 and don't finish until midnight so I'm not being flippant. I honestly can't wait to read it and find out what I'm doing, but I've just got no time right now," James McAvoy told press just over a week ago, so perhaps he can be forgiven for getting some of the details wrong about "X-Men: Days of Future Past."

Because "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" doesn't already have a big enough cast with Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Omar Sy, Halle Berry, Peter Dinklage, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore and Hugh Jackman all slated to appear in one way or another, it seems the cast just keeps getting bigger.

It's probably pretty well accepted that we're skeptical of "X-Men: Days Of Future Past." Will it be the "Terminator: Salvation" of the series? Yes, we're happy that Bryan Singer is back (sorry about the box-office on "Jack The Giant Slayer," dude), but not only is time travel a thorny bitch, it gets even more complicated (and admittedly ambitious) to mix characters from different eras of a franchise. 'Days Of Future Past' will mix members of the original "X-Men" cast – Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, etc. with members of the "X-Men: First Class" cast – James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, etc. Essentially, that's the younger versions of Professor X and Magneto meeting up with the older versions in some wacky time travel scenario that feels like a recipe for disaster (continuity will be a bitch).

Once the news came in last week that Peter Dinklage would be joining the cast of “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” it did not take long for the rumors to begin swirling about. Would he be playing Puck or Toad? Then we wondered if he could be playing a fully CGI character. Turns out it’ll be none of the above, as director Bryan Singer recently confirmed to IGN.

Okay, so we're less than 24 hours from when it was first announced that Peter Dinklage would be joining "X-Men: Days Of Future Past," and the rumor mill is in full swing. His character is being kept under wraps, which led many to start ruminating on who he could be, with the actor's unique size suggesting he might be Puck or Toad. But a couple new bits of info have changed the thinking a little bit.

The way things are going, either everyone is going to be on screen for two minutes or "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" is going to be four hours long, as the cast keeps growing and growing. With Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin and Shawn Ashmore among the cast already, now another name is coming on board.
