With his return to live-action filmmaking a financial and critical success, it seems like Robert Zemeckis isn’t in a hurry to return to the cold and creepy embrace of mo-cap. The “Flight” director was originally set to helm a mo-cap remake of the landmark Beatles animated film “Yellow Submarine” before Disney put the kibosh on the project in the wake of the dismal showing of “Mars Needs Moms” and now hit seems e’s cooled on the idea of ever returning to the project.

Feeling really bummed about the shelving of Robert Zemeckis’ “Yellow Submarine” mo-cap remake last year? Well, the good news is that the Beatles classic is now returning -- in its original form -- after being out of print on DVD for years due to rights issues over the music.

Update: Deadline reports that Disney is saying they made the decision to halt "The Yellow Submarine" before "Mars Needs Moms" opened but you can bet if the film blew open the box office, a different conversation would be happening.

Director Says Picture Is "All Ahead Full," Despite Actor's Recent Thought To The ContraryIt seems there is better news for director Robert Zemeckis who's been in the press quite a bit this week because of the 25th anniversary of "Back To the Future" (which seems never ending) which is hitting Blu-Ray today.
