Music video directors making features are pretty hit and miss. For every David Fincher, Spike Jonze, or even Michael Bay, there’s a dozen or so video directors who never quite seem to make the leap (we’re still waiting on the masterful Chris Cunningham to make his feature debut, hey Chris!). However, it looks as if a regular Lady Gaga and Beyonce music video director, Stephan Zlotescu, will be trying next, only he’s already caught the attention of a major studio.

While Paramount has the script co-written by Ben Stiller and Justin Theroux, and are still trying to decide whether or not to go ahead with "Zoolander 2" (c'mon guys, is a decision on this one really that difficult? While some people think we're kind of no-fun movie lovers who prefer our films foreign and depressing, the truth is we could probably out quote anyone when it comes to either "Anchorman" or "Zoolander" any day of the week. But any hopes of seeing Ron Burgundy or Derek Zoolander again on the big screen lie at the table of the execs at Paramount. As we already know, the proposed musical sequel to "Anchorman" was rejected by the studio last summer as they felt the price tag for the film would have been too high. With that film now on the sidelines until somebody comes to their senses, attention has focused in on the gestating "Zoolander 2."

While Paramount rejected plans for an "Anchorman 2," Ben Stiller and Justin Theroux have been hard at work to the sequel of their own hit comedy, "Zoolander." For much of last year, the project played second fiddle to the Will Ferrell vehicle, but no matter, as Stiller and Theroux have been plugging away at the script. But catching up with Empire recently, the former revealed that the script is done, in the hands of the studio and now it's up to them to decide what happens next.
