Terence Howard Says He Voted For Himself In The Election, Talks His Diamond Business & Loves Oprah's "Tig Ol' Bitties"

Whatever you might feel about Terrence Howard or his upcoming movie "Dead Man Down," can we just say the man is giving some serious interview this week? Hitting the promo circuit to help get the word out about his film with Noomi Rapace and Colin Farrell, the actor has mostly succeeded in getting the word out about himself, easily and amazingly giving out his opinions on breasts, the election, his business endeavors and more. Frankly, his quotes stand out all on their own so we're just gonna lay 'em out for you, with and let his pure, unvarnished words say all they need to. 

On the 2012 election: "I voted for me."

On his possible retirement: "I'm thinking about running away! They keep pulling me back. I asked Sidney Poitier if he was going to act again. He said, If he's lucky he may have 10 years left in his life and he doesn't want to spend the next 10 years doing an impersonation of himself...I've played a lot of characters. Unless I can find something new and worth exploring, I don't really take too much to light in repeating some glory days."

On his various patents and diamond business: "I went to school for chemical engineering and applied materials. I'm working with a company called SCIO. We grow diamonds….Mined diamonds have a lot of irregularities. With a controlled setting we can have tighter bonds of the carbon. I have some patents related to diamonds. Some are related to harmonic fusion."

On his relationship with women: "I just, I was never good with women. I was that sucker. I'd fall in love and tiptoe down the lane with them. I've always been a dreamer. Women always take advantage of dreamers."

On the nature of time and acting: "I tend to believe the past, the present, and the future are occuring simultaneously. The past is here in the present, and the same goes for the future. We’re living in this dichotomy of emotional, mental, and physical dimensions. Perhaps in the future I tap into an emotion that I’d play [in a film]. You can’t just create somebody out of thin air. There has to be something to tap into; it has to come from somewhere. Certain parts of your nature can turn into great acting. It’s nice doing something you know, if that’s not too convoluted…"

On making out with Oprah Winfrey in Lee Daniels' "The Butler": "Oprah and I had such chemistry. To be able to make out with Oprah and to have love scenes with her and those tig ol' bitties. I mean, she's such a lovely and voluptuous woman. She's very, very beautiful and that was wonderful."
