"The Avengers" buzz is at an all-time peak at the moment. With the film making a splashy red carpet premiere earlier this week, and with fans heading to advance screenings tomorrow, the Marvel marketing machine is in maximum overdrive, and they've turned the faucet on at full force....

This week has seen a handful of new TV spots and clips hitting the web, but perhaps they've saved the best for last, with a torrent of new and actually exciting pics from the film now online. Not only do you get to see the The Hulk in action, but we actually move out of the meeting room that seems to have dominated all the clips so far, at least ensuring the movie isn't "12 Angry Men" superhero style. We also move away from that Manhattan block, with the superheroes in a variety of locations showing off their skills. We've been pretty hard on the standing -around-and-posing pictures, but these have made it worth the wait, especially for fans.

Anway, give 'em a look below. Can Marvel keep up this hype for three more weeks? "The Avengers" opens on May 4th. [Comic Book Movie]

I'm just hoping this film is strong where most of the X-Men movies were weak - i.e bringing all the heroes together and have them defeat the bad guys by finally working together and combining all their skills and powers in a clever way... and not just have them all show off a bit, individually.
