So far....Ok, first off, sorry to disappoint you if you thought this was going to be one big master list from all of our contributors. One thing is clear: getting a consensus out of the entire The Playlist is impossible and man, even if we put it to a vote (which we've done in the past), the results are generally dissatisfying and as you know, consensus tends to get a little dull. So instead, this will be our one-stop shopping for all our Best of 2012 year-end lists (and all our Best of 2012 content). Happy New Year and thanks for reading in 2012.

Love the variety in lists. I caught all of the major releases and festival films so I come to my top 10 fairly confident these are my favorites. In alphabetical order (not preference), 1. Amour, 2. Cloud Atlas, 3. The Comedy, 4. The Dark Knight Rises, 5. Holy Motors, 6. Killer Joe, 7. Killing Them Softly, 8. The Master, 9. Skyfall, 10. Zero Dark Thirty

Perks is one film I really can't fathom. Think that's because on paper it's something I feel I should love, but the execution was so flat and uneven that it really didn't work for me. Felt like I was watching an episode of Party Of Five. I wasn't surprised to see that the director had almost no directorial experience prior to the film.

Is it too early to call for a remake?
