  Really? The Dark Knight Rises gets in but the Avengers doesn't? Ridiculous. And where's Sons of Anarchy in the TV list? If Breaking Bad and Walking Dead are in, then Sons deserves to be as well; it's at least as good as those shows.

  The Dark Knight Rises is a winner in the sense it is most attention grabber movie of the year. Love it or hate it but you can't ignore it.

  I love how they specifically single out "The Master" for it's lack of awards. I mean it obviously isn't Anderson's best film, so what's with all of the expectations? Is it really a necessity to blatantly point out it's shortcomings, just to make your ego's that much bigger, pathetic.

  They single it out because it was being hyped up for awards potential, being directed by PAUL THOMAS ANDERSON and coming off of an incredible movie called THERE WILL BE BLOOD. It's newsworthy in the awards chatter when that happens.

  Killing Them Softly is a far superior film than Dark Knight. Can't wait for critics to stop blowing smoke up Nolan's ass.

  Wow totally subjective. I'm glad to hear that you are being objective in making that claim. Any time a list of the 'Top Ten Movies of the Year' is released they are condemned or praised based on said commenters preference. You don't like this one try the NBR's list, or the New York Film Critic Association, etc. Fact is, any body's list has just as much legitimacy as the next. Get over it. The next one will be out in however many hours.

  I would agree with The Master not bring included. Am a fan of PTAs movies but apart from 2 very good scenes, it was an incredibly boring film. I'm also surprise that the dark knight rises is included because that was an overlong, badly written film with a terrible ending

  Makes sense. The Master is a misfire that fails to reach it's own potential. Some great performances, cinematography and a couple cool ideas, but it doesn't add up to anything all that interesting or entertaining, unfortunately.
