Review: 'The Immigrant'Yeah, okay. Invoking Jay-Z to bring some coolness factor to your movie/trailer is kind of cheap, but hell, it also works. The Super Bowl spot for "G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation" has arrived it has caused acrimony within the Playlist offices. Some are scoffing the movie looks completely dumb. While offers will concede that point but also add that sword-fighting on mountains and motorbikes that turn into bombs and Bruce Willis saying "Call me Joe" are all points in its favor. It's been a rough afternoon around here.
All this to say, the Jon Chu directed sequel doesn't know an actoin sequence that doesn't require someone flipping or spinning around and that's not necessarily a criticism. At any rate, it can't be worse than 'Rise Of The Cobra' can it? 'Retaliation' opens on June 29th. [via Collider]

The Rock may have quoted, but most hip hop fans know that Jay-Z's line was from a 2Pac song called Blasphemy in which 2Pac says "Promised if I have a seed, I'ma guide him right
Dear Lord don't let me die tonite"
