Of the many things being promised in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire"—bigger, better, more financially lucrative—is smoother camerawork thanks to Francis Lawrence's decision to forgo handheld. The result? Well, watching this first clip from the sequel, you won't get motion sickness.

In this brief scene, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Gale (Liam Hemsworth) are once again gorgeously furrowing their brows at each other as they make an important decision, with the Hunger Games victor noting with gravitas that, "they will kill us." Then some giant, expensive, probably product placement jeeps or whatever roll by. Snark aside, this certainly does feel more cinematic, though perhaps lacks the immediacy of the Gary Ross' approach.
